Narration Change Rules in Bengali
আজকের ক্লাসে আমরা খুব সহজে Narration Change বা Direct to Indirect speech বা Reporting শিখবো। তবে হ্যাঁ Narration Change - এর তিনটা একই জিনিস বোঝায় বিভিন্ন জন বিভিন্ন নামে ডেকে থাকেন।
আজকের ক্লাসে শেখাবো simple present tense - এর

Yes/No Question
WH-Question
Affirmative (Positive Statement / Assertive Sentence)
Direct
Subject + say(s) (+to Object) + ", " + Subject + Verb(s) …
Indirect:
Subject + say(s)/tell(s) (+Object) + that + Subject + Verb(s) …
Notes:
যদি object থাকে → say to → পরিবর্তিত হয়ে tell হবে।
Pronouns এবং time/number অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন হতে পারে।
Negative Sentence
Direct:
Subject + say(s) (+to Object) + ", " + Subject + do/does not + Verb …
Indirect:
Subject + say(s)/tell(s) (+Object) + that + Subject + does/ do not + Verb …
Interrogative Sentence (Yes/No Question)
Direct:
Subject + say(s)/ask(s) (+to Object) + ", " + Do/Does + Subject + Verb … ?
Indirect:
Subject + ask(s)/want(s) to know (+Object) + if/whether + Subject + Verb …
Wh-Interrogative Sentence
Direct:
Subject + say(s)/ask(s) (+to Object) + ", " + Wh-word + Verb + … ?
Indirect:
Subject + ask(s)/want(s) to know (+Object) + Wh-word + Subject + Verb …
আরো কিছু তথ্য:
Pronouns এবং verbs context অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তিত হবে।
Yes/No question → “if/whether” ব্যবহার।
Direct speech-এ quotation marks থাকলেও Indirect-এ বাদ।
reporting verb যদি says / says to থাকলে Tense - এর পরিবর্তন হয় না

Affirmative (Positive Statement / Assertive Sentence)

He says, "I eat rice." সে বলে, "আমি ভাত খাই"।
👉 Indirect Speech
He says that he eats rice. সে বলে যে সে ভাত খায়।
Negative Sentence
👉 Direct Speech
He says, "I do not eat rice". সে বলে আমি ভাত খাই না।
👉 Indirect Speech
He says that he does not eat rice. সে বলে যে সে ভাত খায় না।
Interrogative Sentence (Yes/No Question)
👉 Direct Speech
He says, "do I eat rice?" সে বলে, "আমি কি ভাত খাই।"
👉 Indirect Speech
He asks if he eats rice. সে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, সে কি ভাত খায়?
Wh-Interrogative Sentence
👉 Direct Speech
He says, "What does Rahul eat?" সে বলে, "রাহুল কী খায়?"
👉 Indirect Speech
He asks what Rahul eats. সে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, রাহুল কী খায়?
👉 Direct Speech
He says, " when does Rahul eat?" সে বলে, "রাহুল কখন খায়?"

He asks when Rahul eats. সে জিজ্ঞাসা করে রাহুল কখন খায়।

He says, "why does Rahul eat?" সে বলে, "রাহুল কেন খায়?"

He asks why Rahul eats. জিজ্ঞাসা করে রাহুল কেন খায়?
আরো কিছু উদাহরণ দেওয়া হলো।

He says to me, "I eat rice." সে আমাকে বলে, আমি ভাত খাই।"

He tells me that he eats rice. সে আমাকে বলে সে ভাত খায়।

He says to me, "I do not eat rice" সে আমাকে বলে আমি ভাত খাই না।

He tells me that he does not eat rice. সে আমাকে বলে যে সে ভাত খায় না।

He says to me, "do I eat rice?" সে আমাকে বলে, "আমি কি ভাত খাই?"

He asks me If he eats rice. সে আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে সে কি ভাত খায়?

He asks me when he eats rice. সে আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে সে কখন ভাত খায়

I say, "I am busy." আমি বলি, "আমি ব্যস্ত।"
👉 Indirect Speech
I say that I am busy. আমি বলি যে আমি ব্যস্ত।

I say to him, "we are busy". আমি তাকে বলি, "আমরা ব্যস্ত।"
👉 Indirect Speech
I tell him that we are busy. আমি তাকে বলি যে আমরা ব্যস্ত।

We say to him, "you are a good friend." আমি তাকে বলি, "তুমি একজন ভালো বন্ধু।"
👉 Indirect Speech
We tell him that he is a good friend. আমরা তাকে বলি যে সে একজন ভালো বন্ধু।

She says to me, "I cook." সে আমাকে বলে, "আমি রান্না করি।"

She tells me that she cooks. সে আমাকে বলে যে সে রান্না করে।

The farmer says, "I am busy" কৃষক বলে আমি ব্যস্ত।
👉 Indirect Speech
The farmer says that he is busy. কৃষক বলে যে সে ব্যস্ত।
👉 Direct Speech
Amal says, "I am happy." আমল বলে আমি খুশি।"
👉 Indirect Speech
Amal says that he is happy. আমল বলে যে সে খুশি।

He says to me, "You speak English well." সে আমাকে বলে, "তুমি ভালো ইংরেজি বলো।"
👉 Indirect Speech
She tells me that I speak English well. সে আমাকে বলে যে আমি ভালো ইংরেজি বলি।

She says, "We live in Dhaka." সে বলে, "আমরা ঢাকায় থাকি।"
👉 Indirect Speech
She says that they live in Dhaka. সে বলে যে তারা ঢাকায় থাকে।

They say, "We play football." তারা বলে, "আমরা ফুটবল খেলি।"
